1. TERMS OF SERVICE
This Filming Locations Global Service Agreement (“Agreement” or “FLGSA”) is entered into between Filming Locations Global LLC, including its affiliates and subsidiaries (“Filming Locations Global,” “FLG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), each property owner or authorized representative who lists a Location on the Platform (“Host”), and each individual or entity that books or seeks to book a Location through the Platform (“Filmmaker”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the website, applications, coordination services, or any other products or services offered by FLG (collectively, the “Platform” or “Services”), you agree to be legally bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform or Services.
This Agreement consolidates and incorporates by reference the “Cancellation & Refund Policy,” “Prices, Fees & Payments Policy” and “Privacy Policy,” (collectively, the “Policies”). In the event of a conflict, this Agreement controls unless expressly stated otherwise in a specific Booking confirmation or a written amendment executed by FLG.
We may update or amend this Agreement at any time by posting the revised version on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Agreement. Revisions apply only to Bookings or Listings confirmed after the effective date of the updated terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform and close your Account.
By checking the box during the account registration, property listing, or booking process—or by proceeding with any other transaction through the Platform—you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by this Agreement and all incorporated Policies. Such electronic acceptance constitutes a valid and binding electronic signature under the Federal Decree-Law No. 46 of 2021.

2. KEY TERMS & DEFINITIONS
“Account” – a registered user profile on the Platform. If you register on behalf of a legal entity, you represent you have full authority to bind that entity.
“Platform” – The FLG website, mobile site, applications, and related coordination services through which Bookings are made.
“Booking” – a confirmed reservation of a Location by a Filmmaker for Shoot purposes, accepted by a Host through the Platform. The booking time starts calculating from the arrival of the first Film Crew member and ends upon the departure of the last Film Crew member, excluding time used solely for cleaning services and not for wrapping activities.
“Booking Price” – the price set by the Host to use the Location for the Shoot, exclusive of FLG Service Fees, Taxes, and additional services unless otherwise stated.
“Additional Fees” – any charges other than the Booking Price and Service Fees, including without limitation: Location Scout Fees, Permit Fees, NOC Fees, On-Set Location Manager Fees, Overtime Fees, Oversized Crew Fees, or other charges expressly agreed between the parties or published by FLG.
“Content” – any text, images, videos, audio, listings, rules, messages, or other materials submitted, posted, uploaded, or transmitted to or through the Platform by any User.
“User(s)” – Collectively refers to Hosts, Filmmakers, or any individual or entity using the Platform.
“Filmmaker” - a video production company, photo studios, agency, freelancer, students, anyone who is shooting video or photography in the Location provided by Host.
“Host” - property owner or property manager who lists their Location via this Platform.
“Film Crew” – all individuals granted access to the Location by the Filmmaker including staff, contractors, Filmmaker’s employees, talent, clients, and invited guests.
“Crew Capacity” – the maximum number of individuals permitted at the Location as part of the Film Crew for a given Booking, as specified in the Listing or agreed at the time of Booking. If this number is exceeded, Oversized Crew Fees may apply as specified by the Host.
“Property Rules” – any rules, restrictions, or usage conditions set by the Host for use of the Location, as stated in the Listing or agreed through FLG upon Booking.
“Host Supervisor” – an FLG-appointed representative who may visit a Location to assist with photography, Listing setup, or onboarding process. The Host Supervisor’s role is limited to support and observation only and does not approve, certify, supervise, or assume responsibility for the Location or any Host obligations.
“Listing” – means the description and offering of a Location created by a Host on the Platform, including without limitation: photographs, videos, floor plans, pricing, filming availability, Crew Capacity, Property Rules, Booking Price, Security Deposit, property developer or landlord approvals (if applicable), amenities, access details, and any other information the Host chooses or is required by FLG to provide. A Listing must be accurate, complete, and kept up to date at all times, and forms the basis of the Filmmaker’s Booking. The Host remains solely responsible for the truthfulness and legality of all content in the Listing, even if FLG assists with photography, editing, formatting, or profile setup.
“Location” – the physical property or space offered by a Host for temporary use via the Platform for shoot purposes, including any interior or exterior areas described in the Listing.
“On-Set Location Manager ” – an optional, separately charged FLG service in which a designated representative assists with logistics during the Shoot. An On-Set Location Manager does not assume responsibility for property conditions or damages.
“Location Scout” or “Recce” – an optional pre-visit inspection of a Location, coordinated by Filming Locations Global (“FLG”), to evaluate and assist with pre-production planning. A Location Scout must be scheduled in advance through FLG’s official WhatsApp chat, phone call, or email, and the duration shall not exceed sixty (60) minutes. The Host shall provide access to the Location for the Location Scout free of charge, and no portion of the Filmmaker’s Location Scout time is payable to the Host. Location Scout Fees are charged separately to the Filmmaker in accordance with FLG’s Prices, Fees & Payments Policy (Section 7). Filmmakers who book a Location Scout are fully responsible for attending the scheduled appointment at the Location as coordinated by the FLG Team. Once the Location pin has been shared, the Location Scout Fee becomes non-refundable. A Filmmaker may request to reschedule a Location Scout once only, provided such request is made in advance and approved by FLG. If the Filmmaker is late by more than one (1) hour, an additional Fee will be charged.
“Technical Recce” – an optional, detailed pre-visit inspection of a Location by the Filmmaker and the key Film Crew, coordinated by FLG Team, to assist with pre-production planning. The duration of a Technical Recce shall not exceed three and a half (3.5) hours. The Host shall provide access to the Location for the Technical Recce free of charge, but only after the Booking has been confirmed and payment has been received in full. Technical Recce Fees are charged separately to the Filmmaker in accordance with FLG’s Prices & Fees schedule.
“NOC” - No Objection Certificate coordinated by FLG confirming the Host’s consent to the Shoot at the Location. NOCs are issued only after Booking confirmation and receipt of payment and are free of charge if the Shoot proceeds; cancellation fees apply if the Booking is later cancelled. Depending on the Location and applicable regulations, an NOC may or may not be required. Where required, FLG’s role is limited to facilitating the process between the Filmmaker and the relevant Host or authority.
“Permits” – refer to any government, municipal, or third-party authorizations required for the Shoot. It is the sole responsibility of the Filmmaker to obtain all necessary Film Permits, approvals, or licenses prior to the commencement of the Shoot.
FLG may, upon request, assist the Filmmaker with permit facilitation for a separate fee; however, such assistance is provided on a best-effort basis only. FLG does not guarantee the issuance, approval, or timely processing of any Permit and bears no liability for any delay, denial, or restriction imposed by authorities.
Failure by the Filmmaker to obtain the required Permits shall not constitute grounds for refund or liability against FLG or the Host, and FLG shall not be responsible for any denied access to the Location resulting from the Filmmaker’s failure to secure necessary authorizations.
“Policies” – Filming Locations Service Agreement, Prices, Fees & Payments Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy.
“Shoot” – the scheduled production activity at a Location, video or photo.
“Events” – On rare occasions, FLG may facilitate the use of certain approved Locations for private events (for example, small gatherings, corporate functions, or community showcases). Such Event Bookings are manually coordinated by FLG and may involve different pricing, attendee limits, or rules as determined by the Host in coordination with FLG. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, the terms of this Service Agreement that apply to film or photography Shoots also apply to Events, and FLG disclaims any responsibility for the suitability of a Location for Events or for any disputes between Hosts and Organizers.
“Working Day” – a day other than Saturday, Sunday, or a UAE public holiday in the Emirate of Dubai.
“Security Deposit” – a fee provided by the Filmmaker to the Host, in cash or by cheque, as disclosed in the Listing or agreed upon at the time of Booking, to secure against documented damages to the Location, the Host’s personal property, or unpaid Overtime or Oversized Crew charges. The Security Deposit is held directly by the Host and not by FLG. FLG does not hold, manage, or return Security Deposits and bears no financial liability in relation to them. FLG’s role is strictly limited to coordination and communication support between the parties, and any assistance provided shall not be construed as FLG assuming financial or legal responsibility for the Security Deposit.
“Taxes” – value-added tax (“VAT”) or any other indirect tax imposed under UAE law, calculated at 5% and applied to taxable amounts including the Booking Price, Service Fees, and Additional Fees. Tax Fees are collected by FLG and remitted to the UAE Federal Tax Authority where applicable.
3. PLATFORM & FLG SERVICES
3.1 Core Platform Services
There are two types of Users on the Platform: (a) Hosts, who list and grant access to Locations; and (b) Filmmakers, who book such Locations for filming or photography purposes. Filming Locations Global LLC (“FLG”) operates a controlled communication model: all Booking requests, confirmations, modifications, and coordination are managed through FLG. Users must not exchange personal contact details or conduct off-platform transactions unless expressly authorized in writing by FLG.
FLG provides an online marketplace and coordination platform that connects Hosts and Filmmakers seeking short-term use of Locations for filming, photography, related production activities, or, on limited occasions, private Events as described in Section 2. Through the Platform, FLG facilitates Listings, inquiries, Bookings, payment collection, and coordination support between Hosts and Filmmakers.
FLG facilitates reservations, collects payments (including applicable VAT) as the Host’s limited payment collection agent, and may coordinate additional services including Location Scouts, Technical Recce, NOCs, Permit assistance, and On-Set Location Manager. FLG may provide Users with access information (e.g., map pins, entry instructions) 24–48 hours before a confirmed Shoot, or earlier if a Location Scout is scheduled.
While FLG provides coordination and support services, it does not own, lease, operate, or control any Location and does not act as a real-estate agent, broker, or production manager. The contractual relationship for each Booking is between the Host and the Filmmaker. Hosts remain solely responsible for the accuracy of their Listings, the condition and legality of their Locations, and compliance with all applicable laws and community or property-management rules. Filmmakers remain responsible for evaluating the suitability of each Location for their intended use, obtaining required permits, and ensuring safe, lawful conduct during the Shoot or Event. FLG may, however, take appropriate action to enforce this Agreement, support conflict resolution, or protect the Platform’s integrity in accordance with UAE law.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, all terms that apply to filming and photography Shoots under this Agreement also apply to Event Bookings, including service fees, cancellation rules, and liability limitations.
a) Compliance with Law and Planning a Shoot (see also Section 6 – Code of Conduct)
Users must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, bylaws, and industry codes, including content, safety, and filming policies. Filmmakers are responsible for determining whether a Location is suitable for their intended Shoot and are encouraged to book a Location Scout. FLG is not responsible for user‑provided Content, Listing accuracy, or the quality or condition of Locations.
b) Bookings and Communication
A Booking is created when a Host accepts a Filmmaker’s request through FLG. If payment is not made immediately, the Booking will remain pending confirmation until payment is received through the Platform or via an invoice issued by FLG. Once payment is received, the Booking becomes confirmed, and all applicable policies (including the Cancellation & Refund Policy) apply. To place a Booking, the Filmmaker must provide a clear description of the Shoot, specify the number of attendees, and, where applicable, attach a storyboard, script, or storyline. Any material changes to the storyboard or script after Booking must be disclosed, and the Host may decline only if the new content contradicts previously stated Property Rules. A confirmed Booking constitutes a binding contract between the Host and the Filmmaker. FLG does not guarantee any minimum inquiries, or bookings to the Host, and shall not be liable for any lack of traffic or demand for a Listing. Users must not circumvent the Platform by entering into side agreements or direct arrangements outside FLG. All communications between Hosts and Filmmakers must occur through FLG (including email, phone, or WhatsApp, as applicable). Unrelated marketing, spam, and the exchange of personal contact information are strictly prohibited.
c) Account Registration and Access
Users must be at least eighteen (18) years old and legally capable of entering into binding agreements in order to access or use the Platform. To use the Platform, Users must register an Account with accurate contact details and provide accurate billing information when requested for invoicing purposes. If registering on behalf of a company, the User confirms having authority to act for that entity. FLG may assist Hosts with creating or updating Listings; however, each User is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for resetting or updating their password after setup. Account information must be kept current, and FLG may request verification or additional details at any time for compliance or coordination purposes. Accounts may not be assigned or transferred without FLG’s prior written consent. Users are solely responsible for all actions or communications made through their Account, whether by the User or by their employees, representatives, contractors, or agents (“Agents”). FLG disclaims all liability for any use of the Account by such Agents or other third parties, whether authorized or unauthorized. The User remains fully responsible for ensuring that all Agents comply with this Agreement and with all applicable Platform Policies.
d) Account Suspension and Refusal of Service
FLG may suspend a Host Listing, restrict Platform access, or refuse to provide further coordination or services to any User involved in a breach of this Agreement, fraud, unlawful conduct, repeated complaints, or unreasonable conduct, including where a Host or Filmmaker adopts an unreasonable position in relation to damages, disputes, or other on-site issues. FLG may also suspend or terminate an Account, remove Listings, or cancel pending Bookings where repeated complaints or misuse of the Platform occur.
Upon suspension or refusal of service, any ongoing obligations remain enforceable, and Users remain responsible for applicable taxes, fees, or government requirements. FLG may retain necessary records related to completed Bookings for legal, accounting, or compliance purposes.
e) Privacy Policy
FLG collects and handles personal information as described in its Privacy Policy, available at https://filminglocations.io/privacy-policy. By using the Platform, Users agree to that Policy.
3.2 Additional Platform Services
FLG may, at the request of a Filmmaker, coordinate optional support services such as Permit Assistance, Location Scouts, Technical Recce, No Objection Certificates (NOCs), or the provision of an On-Set Location Manager. Each of these services is subject to separate fees established by FLG. The applicable rates and conditions for these optional services are detailed in Section 7 – Prices, Fees & Payments Policy and may be updated periodically on the Platform.
All such optional services are provided and billed directly by FLG in addition to the Booking Price. These coordination fees are separate from the Host’s payout, except where a specific portion (such as an NOC-related payment or cancellation compensation) is expressly payable to the Host under Section 8 – Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy.
Processing times, coordination availability, and service scope may depend on external factors such as government authority schedules or access requirements. While FLG uses reasonable efforts to assist with coordination, issuance of permits or third-party authorizations cannot be guaranteed.
a) Permits: FLG may assist with permit facilitation for separate fees. Processing times depend on government authorities and may require up to 14 Working Days or longer. FLG does not guarantee issuance by any date and is not liable for delays caused by late, incomplete, or inaccurate Filmmaker submissions.
b) Location Scout & Technical Recce: Optional pre-visit inspections may be arranged through FLG for non-refundable fees; one reschedule may be permitted subject to availability.
c) NOC: Issued only after Booking confirmation and payment; provided free of charge for proceeding Shoots. If the Shoot is cancelled after the NOC has been issued, applicable cancellation fees under the Cancellation Policy will apply.
d) On-Set Location Manager: Upon request, FLG may provide an On-Set Location Manager for separate fees. An On-Set Location Manager’s role is limited to logistical coordination, facilitating communication between the Filmmaker and Host, and ensuring adherence to house rules and agreed Booking conditions. An On-set Location Manager is not responsible for the condition of the Location, the actions or omissions of the Filmmaker or Host, or any resulting damages, which remain the Filmmaker’s responsibility and are subject to the Host’s right to deduct from the security deposit. See Section 9 – Damages, Disputes & Security Deposit for details.
All additional services are optional and subject to FLG’s Fees and Policies. Details of applicable fees are provided in Section 7 – Prices, Fees & Payments.
4. HOST OBLIGATIONS
4.1 Listing and Accuracy: Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date descriptions of the Location, including price, filming availability, Crew Capacity, Property Rules, property developer, accessibility, parking, amenities, restrictions, customization, and any non-filmable or sensitive areas. FLG representatives may assist with photographing or drafting Listings free of charge, but the Host remains solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of the Listing content.
4.2 Updating the Listing and Changes: Hosts must promptly update the Listing when material changes occur (e.g., renovations, layout or furniture changes). All updated Listings are subject to FLG review and approval prior to re-publication. Hosts shall not unilaterally alter the Booking Price or any agreed Booking terms once a Booking is requested or pre-approved, unless the Filmmaker’s request materially exceeds the original Listing scope (e.g., exceeding Crew Capacity, filming outside the listed Filming Availability hours, or special custom requirements not previously included). Hosts may not charge extra for any items, areas, or amenities that were already described, shown, or included in the original Listing at the time of Booking. Any price adjustments must be reasonable, proportionate, and directly linked to a documented change in the Filmmaker’s Shoot requirements. Price increases that are not based on a documented change in the Filmmaker’s requirements—including increases made due to the Filmmaker’s client name, brand, urgency, or perceived budget—are strictly prohibited.
Property Rules and Overrides: Hosts may include their own cancellation policy (as permitted under Section 8.13), custom Overtime rates, Oversized Crew Fees, and additional usage charges (such as fees for preparation, setup, special requests, or customization), provided these are clearly stated in the Listing at the time of Booking. These Property Rules shall override the corresponding default Platform terms only in these categories. Property Rules may not override any provisions of this FLGSA relating to payment collection, VAT, Security Deposits, FLG Service Fees, off-platform booking restrictions, permit responsibilities, prohibited content, conduct requirements, liability, or dispute resolution. In the event of any conflict outside the permitted categories, the terms of this FLGSA shall prevail unless FLG expressly approves otherwise in writing.
4.3 Authority: By listing a Location, you warrant that you have the legal right to do so. If you are not the property owner, you confirm that you have the owner’s consent or another valid legal basis (such as sufficient rights under your lease, property use agreement, or community rules) to offer the Location for filming. You are solely responsible for ensuring your Listing does not violate any lease terms, community association or developer rules, building management policies, or local regulations.
4.4. Delivery Condition: Once the Booking is accepted the Host shall provide the Location clean, usable, safe, and consistent with the Listing. Mandatory utilities (electricity, water, and, if advertised, internet/air‑conditioning) must be available at no extra charge during the Shoot. Temporary outages of utilities (AC, power, internet, or water) that are not caused by the Host shall not constitute grounds for refund or Host liability. Host must remove or secure valuables or sensitive materials prior to the Shoot.
4.5. Access & Assistance: The Host shall cooperate with FLG to provide a duly signed No Objection Certificate (“NOC”), where applicable, after the Booking has been confirmed and paid. The Host must also provide Filmmakers with timely access and clear arrival instructions for the Location. The Host, or a designated representative, shall remain on site during the Shoot to ensure that the Location is protected and returned to its original condition. If on-site presence is not possible, the Host must remain available online and coordinate in a timely manner with FLG to provide any required assistance regarding the Location. The number of Host representatives should be limited to what is reasonably necessary and they must remain non-disruptive, silent, and respectful (e.g., avoiding interference with production activities, refraining from loud conversations or unnecessary movement in filming areas, and not engaging with the Film Crew unless addressing an issue). For confidentiality reasons, the Host and its representatives are strictly prohibited from filming, photographing, or otherwise recording any part of the Shoot, as Filmmakers and their clients may have strict no–behind-the-scenes policies. However, Hosts may take photos or videos strictly for the purpose of documenting damages, policy violations, or Overtime, and such documentation should avoid capturing identifiable close-ups of individuals unless incidental and unavoidable. Hosts are responsible for the acts and omissions of any persons, workers, or representatives present at the Location under their direction. However, Hosts are not responsible for the acts or omissions of the Filmmaker, Film Crew members, contractors, or any other persons acting on behalf of or under the direction of the Filmmaker. Each party remains responsible for the conduct and supervision of its own personnel while at the Location.
4.6. Communication & Bookings: All inquiries, Bookings, negotiations, and communications related to the Location and any Shoot must be conducted exclusively through FLG. Once the Host is introduced to Filmmaker via FLG or the Platform, the Host shall not exchange or use direct contact information (e.g., phone numbers, email addresses) to engage in off-platform communications, unless explicitly authorized by FLG in writing. If the Host accepts a Booking directly from a Filmmaker introduced through FLG or the Platform, bypassing the Platform, this will be considered a material breach of this Agreement. In such cases, the Host agrees to pay liquidated damages equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the total Booking value, representing the commission revenue lost by FLG. This amount is a genuine pre-estimate of loss and not a penalty, in accordance with Article 390 of the UAE Civil Code. FLG reserves the right to invoice this amount or deduct it from any payout otherwise due to the Host. FLG may suspend the Host’s Account or permanently remove the Host’s Listings from the Platform for repeated violations of this Section, including but not limited to off-platform bookings or attempts to circumvent FLG’s payment and communication rules.
4.7. Payouts: The Host authorizes the FLG to collect and disburse payments. All booking payments shall be processed through the FLG. Upon a confirmed booking: For private properties (e.g. residences owned by individual Hosts), the Company will release the Host’s payout once the Shoot has commenced (when the first Film Crew member arrives and the “door is opened”). For commercial properties (e.g. hotels or corporate venues), the Host’s payment is released immediately after the Company receives the booking payment from the Filmmaker.
4.8. Security Deposit, Overtime and Oversized Crew: Overtime or Oversized Crew must be documented by the Host (e.g., timestamped photos, security footage, and reported to FLG during the Shoot or within forty-eight (48) hours after the Shoot. All Overtime Fees will be invoiced and collected exclusively by FLG. Hosts shall not collect Overtime Fees directly on site under any circumstances unless it is agreed with FLG. Overtime Fees are subject to FLG Service Fees and Tax Fees (5% VAT). FLG is responsible for issuing an invoice to the Filmmaker Overtime. The Host reserve the right to deduct the necessary amount for the Overtime from the Security Deposit If the Overtime payment was not provided by Filmmaker within fifteen (15) Working Days after the end of the Shoot. Any portion of the deducted amount which relates to FLG Service Fees, VAT or other taxes payable to FLG shall be transferred by the Host to FLG. If no overtime occurs and no other issues require any deductions from the Security Deposit, the Host shall refund the Security Deposit in full to the Filmmaker within forty-eight (48) hours after the Shoot, once the Location has been inspected and found to be in order.
It is the Host’s responsibility to ensure the Security Deposit is collected. If the Filmmaker fails to provide the deposit, the Company will coordinate and issue a warning. The Filmmaker must provide the Security Deposit upon entry to the Location, or, in the case of long-duration Shoots, no later than three (3) hours after the arrival of the first Film Crew member, failing which the Shoot may be suspended or stopped until the deposit is received.
4.9 Security Deposit & Damages. After the Shoot, the Host should inspect the Location for damages or cleanliness issues and document any findings with photos and receipts where available. For full details on damage reporting and dispute resolution, refer to Section 9 – Damages, Disputes, and Security Deposit.
4.10. Cleaning: Although the Filmmaker shall leave the Location in the same condition as it was provided, the Host remains responsible for standard routine cleaning before and after the Shoot. Any such cleaning costs should be included in the Booking Price.
4.11. Third-Party Rights and License: The Host shall identify and remove any items subject to third-party intellectual property, privacy, or trade-secret rights that must not be captured. Unless otherwise stated in the Listing or Property Rules, the Host grants the Filmmaker a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, fully paid, and royalty-free license to capture, reproduce, distribute, display, and otherwise use imagery or footage of the Location and its visible contents as part of the approved production, in any media and territory. Any exceptions or restrictions must be clearly listed in the Property Rules or clearly disclosed to the Filmmaker or FLG before the Shoot.
4.12. Misrepresentation: The Host remains solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the Listing, even if FLG assists with photography, profile setup, description drafting, or provides a Host Supervisor.
4.13. Compliance: The Host is solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, taxes, community or building policies (if applicable), and any permit requirements relating to the Location.
5. FILMMAKER OBLIGATIONS
5.1. Location Review & Suitability: Filmmakers must carefully review the Listing, Property Rules, Crew Capacity, and any restrictions before confirming a Booking. Filmmaker is solely responsible for ensuring the Location suits their Shoot. FLG is not liable for the accuracy, completeness, or condition of any Listing (including any Property Rules), as all Location information is provided solely by the Host. FLG encourages booking a Location Scout to evaluate the space and discuss logistical needs in advance.
5.2. Crew Management: The Filmmaker must supervise the Film Crew and ensure compliance with the Property Rules and Crew Capacity stated in the Listing or agreed upon when placing the Booking. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult with proper consent. All activities must align with the script or storyboard provided at the time of Booking.
5.3. Permits & Insurance: The Filmmaker is solely responsible for obtaining all required filming permits, licenses, and insurance necessary for the Shoot. Where FLG is requested to assist or facilitate the permit process, the Filmmaker must provide all required documents and details in a timely and complete manner. Delays, rejections, or penalties resulting from the Filmmaker’s late, incomplete, or inaccurate submissions are the Filmmaker’s full responsibility. FLG bears no liability for failure to obtain or process any permit, nor for any fines, restrictions, or access denials arising from the Filmmaker’s failure to secure the necessary authorizations. All permit-related risks remain entirely with the Filmmaker.
5.4. Communication: All inquiries, negotiations, and communications regarding the Location and any Shoot must be conducted exclusively through the FLG. Once the Filmmaker is introduced to the Host, they shall not exchange or use direct contact details (phone numbers, email addresses, etc.) for any off-platform communication, unless the Company explicitly authorizes it in an exceptional case (providing such contact information to both parties).
5.5. Cleanliness & Restoration: Remove all trash, rentals, and personal property, and restore the Location to its original condition. The Host may deduct cleaning or restoration costs from the Security Deposit if the Location is not left as found, provided such deductions are supported by photographic evidence.
5.6. Disputes & Damages: The Filmmaker must document the Location’s condition upon arrival with timestamped photos or videos to serve as proof in case of any dispute regarding damages or cleanliness. The Filmmaker is responsible for any damage to the Location or personal property caused by the Filmmaker or Film Crew. For detailed procedures, see Section 9 – Damages, Disputes, and Security Deposit.
5.7. Prohibited Activities: No illegal activity, hazardous materials (unless expressly permitted), uncontrolled flames, or any activity that endangers persons, the Location, or surrounding property. Filmmakers must follow all rules regarding alcohol, smoking/vaping, animals, SFX, drones, stunts, and nudity as stated in the Listing description, Property Rules, or FLGSA.
5.8. Overtime & Oversized Crew: The Filmmaker must ensure that all attendees vacate the Location by the end of the Booking, unless an extension has been agreed through FLG. If the Shoot exceeds the booked time or the number of attendees surpasses the approved capacity (as stated in the Booking or on the invoice issued by FLG), Overtime and Oversized Crew Fees will apply in accordance with Section 7 – Prices, Fees & Payments.
5.9. Confidentiality: The Filmmaker shall treat all non-public details about the Location—such as addresses, access codes, and contact information—as confidential. Share them only with Filmmaker and Film Crew involved in the Shoot. Do not post or disclose identifiable Location details publicly without prior written approval from FLG or the Host.
6. CODE OF CONDUCT
6.1. General Conduct: All Users (Hosts, Filmmakers, and their representatives) must act lawfully, professionally, and respectfully when using the Platform or participating in any Shoot arranged through FLG. Users shall not engage in conduct that is fraudulent, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise harmful to other Users, FLG personnel, or the public.
6.2. Compliance with UAE Laws: All activities carried out through or in connection with the Platform must comply with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including without limitation the UAE Cybercrime Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 5 of 2012, as amended by No. 34 of 2021), the Penal Code, and all regulations on media content, filming, and public decency. It is strictly prohibited to produce, transmit, or upload any material that is unlawful, defamatory, pornographic, discriminatory, blasphemous, or contrary to UAE public morals or customs.
6.3. Filming Restrictions: Filmmakers and Hosts shall not participate in or permit the filming of any inappropriate, adult, or restricted content—including nudity, sexually explicit material, political or religious content, or depictions that could offend public morals or local sensitivities. This rule supplements the FLGSA’s existing provisions on “inappropriate or restricted content” under Section 4 (Host Cancellations) and applies universally to all Users.
6.4. Respect for Rights and Privacy: Users must respect privacy, intellectual-property, and publicity rights of third parties. No individual may be recorded or photographed without consent, and no proprietary artwork, brand, or trademark may be filmed unless duly authorized. Users are fully liable for any violation.
6.5. Platform Integrity: Users shall not post misleading information, harass other Users, spam, hack, or upload malicious code. All communications must occur through the Platform or authorized FLG channels. FLG reserves the right to suspend or terminate any Account that violates this Code of Conduct or any UAE law, without prior notice.
6.6. Reporting Violations: Any User who becomes aware of unlawful or inappropriate activity on the Platform must promptly report it to hello@filminglocations.io. FLG may cooperate with UAE authorities and disclose relevant information in compliance with applicable law.
7. PRICES, FEES & PAYMENTS POLICY
FLG connects Hosts and Filmmakers through the Platform and facilitates payments as the Host’s limited payment collection agent. Hosts set the Booking Price for use of their Locations, while FLG sets the applicable Service Fees and any Additional Fees for optional coordination services.
All applicable charges — including the Booking Price, Service Fees, estimated Additional Fees, and any Taxes — are disclosed to the Filmmaker prior to confirming a Booking.
By clicking ‘Book and Confirm’ or by proceeding with an invoice issued by FLG, the Filmmaker acknowledges that the Booking is binding and that the Cancellation & Refund Policy automatically applies.
Once a Booking Request is accepted by the Host, the Filmmaker must complete payment within twenty-four (24) hours unless otherwise stated by FLG. If the Booking details are modified (for example, extended hours or additional Film Crew), the corresponding additional charges will apply accordingly.
FLG may update its Prices, Fees, and Payments Policy prospectively by publishing changes on the Platform. Hosts may not impose undisclosed or unapproved charges for items already included in their Listing.
Booking Price – The Booking Price is the rate set by the Host for the Filmmaker’s temporary use of a Location for Shoot purposes. The Host solely determines this amount, including any minimum Booking hours. The Booking Price must include all internal Host fees (see also Section 4.2 – Host Obligations).
A one-time 15% Host Service Fee will be deducted from the Host’s payout on the first confirmed Booking of each Listing through the Platform.
Service Fees - fees charged by FLG to support the use of the Platform, coordination services, and overall Host–Filmmaker support. Service Fees are calculated as 15% of the Booking Price and apply as follows:
- A 15% fee is charged to Filmmakers on every confirmed Booking.
- A one-time 15% fee is deducted from the Host’s payout for the first confirmed Booking of each Listing published on the Platform.
This Host-side Service Fee applies to all Listings, whether created before or after publication of these terms. Service Fees may be updated by FLG from time to time, with prior notice provided to Users through the Platform.
Effective Date
The one-time 15% Host-side Service Fee has been operationally applied to all new Hosts and Listings as of June 1, 2025. The Policy applies to all Bookings confirmed on or after February 1, 2026, regardless of the Host’s join date.
Tax Fees – A VAT rate of five percent (5%) is applied to all taxable charges under UAE law, including but not limited to: Booking Price, Service Fees, Payment Processing Fees, Location Scout Fees, Permit Assistance Fees, On-Set Location Manager Fees, Overtime Fees, Oversized Crew Fees, and any other applicable Additional Fees. These Tax Fees are calculated at the time of Booking or invoicing, collected by FLG, and remitted to the UAE Federal Tax Authority as required. The Platform displays estimated Tax Fees during the Booking process, and the Total Price (including all Taxes and Fees) is shown before confirmation. Users are solely responsible for any other taxes, duties, or obligations related to their income or business activities in their respective jurisdictions.
ADDITIONAL FEES:
The following charges are defined for clarity and form part of FLG’s Prices, Fees & Payments Policy.
Payment Processing Fees – means the transaction processing fees charged by the third-party payment service providers (such as Stripe or other processors used by FLG) for handling payments through the Platform. These fees are determined solely by the payment processor, automatically deducted from the transaction amount, and are non-refundable. FLG does not set, control, or retain any portion of these fees.
Location Scout Fees / Technical Recce Fees – the fees charged by FLG for arranging a Location pre-visit. The Location Scout or Technical Recce is an optional service provided at a flat rate of AED 499 per Location. It is at the Filmmaker’s discretion whether to book a Location with or without a Location Scout / Technical Recce. When a Location Scout or a Technical Recce is arranged, FLG may assign a Location Manager to accompany and assist with the pre-visit. The Location Manager’s role is limited to facilitating the inspection and logistics; they do not assume responsibility for the accuracy of the Host’s representations or for the condition of the Location. Location Scout / Technical Recce Fees are non-refundable once the service has been performed, and rescheduling is permitted only once, subject to availability and FLG’s coordination Team. Filmmakers are kindly requested to arrive on time as agreed with the Host, as FLG highly values the Host’s time and cooperation. Should the waiting time exceed one (1) hour beyond the scheduled start time, additional charges will apply. The Host shall provide access for Location Scouts and Technical Recces at no additional charge, as these pre-visit inspections form part of the standard evaluation process required to secure Bookings.
Permit Fees – means the fees charged by Filming Locations Global for assisting Filmmakers with applications for applicable permits within the United Arab Emirates. The Permit Fee is a flat rate of AED 2,000 per booking. FLG’s role is limited to coordination and administrative support in preparing and submitting the permit application to the relevant government authority, based on information and documents supplied by the Filmmaker. FLG does not guarantee approval or timely issuance of any permit, as processing is subject to government discretion and the completeness and accuracy of the Filmmaker’s submission. Filmmakers remain solely responsible for providing all required documentation and for complying with applicable laws and regulations. Permit Fees are non-refundable once processing has commenced.
On-Set Location Manager Fees – means the fees charged by Filming Locations Global for providing an On-set Location Manager to assist Filmmakers during a Shoot. An On-Set Location Manager Fee is a flat rate of AED 1,500 per Shoot day. An On-Set Location Manager’s role is limited to logistical coordination, facilitating communication between the Filmmaker and the Host, and ensuring that house rules and agreed Booking conditions are observed. An On-Set Location Manager does not assume responsibility for the condition of the Location, for the acts or omissions of the Filmmaker or Host, or for any damages, which remain the responsibility of the Filmmaker and are subject to the Host’s right to deduct from the security deposit. On-Set Location Manager Fees are separate from Booking Price, Service Fees, and other Additional Fees, and are non-refundable once the service has been scheduled.
Overtime Fees – apply if the Shoot exceeds the agreed Booking duration. Overtime is calculated based on the hourly rate stated in the Listing, unless specific Property Rules are outlined. The Shoot time is measured from the arrival of the first Film Crew member to the departure of the last, excluding cleaning. Cleaning time does not include packing, wrapping, tear-down, or loading equipment. Hosts must document any overtime (e.g., timestamped photos or security footage) and report it to FLG within 48 hours of the Shoot. Overtime Fees are subject to FLG’s Service Fees and Tax Fees and will be invoiced and collected by FLG only. Hosts may not collect Overtime Fees directly unless expressly authorized by FLG. If the Filmmaker fails to pay the invoiced Overtime Fees within fifteen (15) Working Days after the end of the Shoot, FLG and the Host reserve the right to deduct the outstanding amount from the Security Deposit.
Oversized Crew Fees – apply when the number of individuals present at the Location exceeds the approved Crew Capacity, as specified in the Booking or on the invoice issued by FLG. The applicable fee per additional person is set by the Host and may vary depending on the Location’s size and rules. Such fees typically range between AED 100–300 per additional person, but the exact rate is determined by the Host. FLG does not set or control these amounts but facilitates invoicing and collection on behalf of the Host. Oversized Crew Fees are subject to FLG’s Service Fees and Tax Fees (5% VAT). Any increase in Crew Capacity during the Shoot must be documented by the Host (e.g., headcount logs, timestamped photos, or security footage) and reported to FLG during the Shoot. If the Filmmaker fails to pay the invoiced Oversized Crew Fees within fifteen (15) Working Days after the end of the Shoot, FLG and the Host reserve the right to deduct the outstanding amount from the Security Deposit.
Security Deposit – means a fee provided by the Filmmaker to the Host, in cash or by cheque as disclosed in the Listing or agreed upon at the time of Booking, to secure against documented damages to the Location, the Host’s personal property, or unpaid Overtime or Oversized Crew charges. The Security Deposit is held directly by the Host and not by FLG. FLG does not hold, manage, or return Security Deposits and bears no financial liability for disputes relating to them. FLG’s role is strictly limited to coordination and communication support between the parties, and any assistance provided shall not be construed as FLG assuming financial or legal responsibility. The Security Deposit must be provided upon entry to the Location, or no later than three (3) hours after the arrival of the first Film Crew member for long-duration Shoots. If the Filmmaker fails to pay Overtime or Oversized Crew Fees within fifteen (15) Working Days after the end of the Shoot, FLG and the Host reserve the right to deduct the outstanding amount from the Security Deposit. The Host also reserves the right to deduct amounts for documented damages, supported by reasonable evidence (e.g., timestamped photos, receipts, or repair estimates). Minor rule violations that do not result in material harm (e.g., vaping indoors against Property Rules) must be raised with the Filmmaker or FLG during the Shoot and do not justify post-Shoot deposit deductions. If no deductions apply, the Host shall refund the Security Deposit in full to the Filmmaker within forty-eight (48) hours after the Shoot, once the Location has been inspected and confirmed to be in order.
8. CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING & REFUND POLICY
This Cancellation & Refund Policy governs all cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds on the Platform and applies to every Booking made through FLG. Both Filmmakers and Hosts are bound by this Policy when cancelling or rescheduling a Booking. FLG may amend this Policy at any time by posting an updated version on the Platform. This Policy forms an integral part of the Filming Locations Global Service Agreement (FLGSA).
Every Booking represents a Host’s commitment to make a Location available to a Filmmaker. When a Filmmaker cancels, the Host’s ability to rebook that Location becomes limited. Likewise, a Host’s cancellation may seriously disrupt production schedules and cause significant financial losses to the Filmmaker.
8.1. Cancellation Process
a) Any party wishing to cancel a Booking must submit a written cancellation request by contacting FLG through an official communication channel designated by FLG (including the Contact Us form, WhatsApp Chat Box, or email).
Filmmaker-initiated cancellations are governed by Section 2 (Filmmaker Cancellations).
Host-initiated cancellations are governed by Section 3 (Host Cancellations) and may only be made in accordance with the conditions set out therein.
b) For multi-day Bookings, the cancellation policy applies separately to each day. A Booking is considered cancelled only once the Filmmaker receives written confirmation of cancellation from FLG.
c) Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within seven (7) Working Days of FLG’s written confirmation. The refund amount shall depend on the cancellation policy selected by the Host in the Listing—including any Host-specific cancellation terms permitted under Section 11 (Host-Specific Cancellation Policies)—and on the applicable FLG Service Fees and Payment Processing Fees.
8.2. Filmmaker Cancellation Policies (as chosen by Host)
Each Host selects one of the following refund frameworks, which will be clearly stated in the Listing.
Loyalty Policy
- 90 to 2 days prior to the Shoot: 100% refund to the Filmmaker of the Booking Price (excluding FLG Service Fees and any applicable Payment Processing Fees).
- 2 to 1 day prior to the Shoot: 50% refund to the Filmmaker of the Booking Price (excluding FLG Service Fees and any applicable Payment Processing Fees).
- Less than 24 hours: Non-refundable.
Standard Policy
- 90 to 14 days prior to the Shoot: 100% refund to the Filmmaker of the Booking Price (excluding FLG Service Fees and any applicable Payment Processing Fees).
- 14 to 7 days prior to the Shoot: 90% refund to the Filmmaker of the Booking Price (excluding FLG Service Fees and any applicable Payment Processing Fees).
- 7 to 5 days prior to the Shoot: 80% refund to the Filmmaker of the Booking Price (excluding FLG Service Fees and any applicable Payment Processing Fees).
- 5 to 3 days prior to the Shoot: 70% refund to the Filmmaker of the Booking Price (excluding FLG Service Fees and any applicable Payment Processing Fees).
- 3 to 2 days prior to the Shoot: 60% refund to the Filmmaker of the Booking Price (excluding FLG Service Fees and any applicable Payment Processing Fees).
- 2 to 1 day prior to the Shoot: 50% refund to the Filmmaker of the Booking Price (excluding FLG Service Fees and any applicable Payment Processing Fees).
Less than 24 hours: Non-refundable.
8.3. Host Cancellations
Production Considerations.
Filmmaking is a complex process involving significant planning, logistics, and financial commitments. Each Booking may involve dozens of Film Crew members, pre-approved permits, paid working hours, and other non-refundable expenses. Because of this, last-minute Host cancellations can result in substantial losses to both the Filmmaker and FLG. Accordingly, Hosts must exercise the utmost diligence before accepting any Booking and may be held liable for losses, costs, or penalties arising from unexcused cancellations.
8.4. Host Cancellations Policy.
The Host shall not cancel any confirmed Booking except under limited and justified circumstances. A Host may cancel without penalty only if one of the following applies:
(a) Force majeure — as defined under Section 8.5 (Justified and Accepted Cancellations);
(b) Inappropriate or prohibited content — the Filmmaker intends to film inappropriate, unlawful, or restricted content (including nudity or adult material);
(c) Material risk of damage — the Shoot poses a substantial risk of harm to the Location or its fixtures (for example, use of hazardous materials, open flames, heavy equipment, or other dangerous activities).
All other cancellations outside of these reasons are strictly prohibited and shall constitute a material breach of this Agreement. Any non-justified Host-initiated cancellation may result in immediate suspension or termination of the Host’s account and the imposition of penalties or fines.
All Host-initiated cancellations are fully refundable to the Filmmaker, including any Fees paid.
The Host will be liable for all losses or expenses incurred by the Filmmaker, and any losses suffered by FLG as a result of the cancellation (including administrative and coordination costs, platform and reputation impact, transaction losses, and operational liabilities).
All scheduled Host payouts for that Booking will be voided. FLG bears no responsibility to compensate the Filmmaker for any Host cancellation.
8.5. Justified and Accepted Cancellations
A cancellation by either party may be accepted by FLG and considered eligible for a full refund only if it is supported by verifiable evidence of one or more of the following circumstances:
a) Accidental death or serious illness/injury of the Host, Filmmaker, or an immediate family member.
b) Natural disasters, severe weather, or other environmental conditions that render the Location inaccessible, unsafe, or unfit for filming.
c) Government-imposed restrictions, emergency measures, curfews, or national events such as a royal demise.
d) Unforeseen damage at the Location, or municipality-imposed restrictions, that make filming impossible or unlawful.
Supporting documentation (e.g., medical certificates, official notices, municipal reports, or photos or videos of the Location) must be submitted within seven (7) days of the cancellation request.
Failure to provide such documentation within the stated period may result in the cancellation being treated as non-justified.
Refunds approved under this Section will be processed to the original payment method within seven (7) Working Days of FLG’s written confirmation, excluding FLG Service Fees and Payment Processing Fees, which remain non-refundable.
8.6. Cancellations by FLG
FLG reserves the right to cancel any Booking at its sole discretion if a Host or Filmmaker is found to have violated the FLGSA, provided false or misleading information, or engaged in conduct that constitutes negligence, misrepresentation, or endangers the safety of others or the Location.
For avoidance of doubt, FLG does not bear responsibility for production permits, and cancellations arising from unprocessed or delayed permits fall under the Filmmaker’s responsibility
Examples include, but are not limited to, unlawful activities, filming without the Host’s consent, breaches of Property Rules, or activities that may compromise the safety, integrity, or reputation of the Location or FLG.
In such cases, FLG may suspend or terminate the involved user’s account and withhold or refund payments at FLG’s sole discretion, depending on the circumstances and evidence provided.
8.7. NOC Cancellations
NOCs are coordinated by FLG only after a Booking has been confirmed and full payment has been received.
If a Booking is cancelled after the NOC has been issued, an NOC Cancellation Fee of AED 500 shall apply.
This fee shall be equally split between FLG and the Host to cover administrative and coordination efforts.
The NOC Cancellation Fee applies regardless of the Filmmaker’s general cancellation rights under this Policy and is in addition to any applicable Booking cancellation fees.
8.8. Location Scout or Technical Recce Cancellations
- Up to 24 hours: The Filmmaker may cancel a scheduled Location Scout/Technical Recce up to twenty-four (24) hours prior to the arranged time and receive a 50% refund (equal to AED 250) of the Location Scout Fees, unless the Location pin has already been shared, in which case the fee becomes non-refundable.
- Less than 24 hours: Cancellations submitted less than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled Location Scout/Technical Recce are non-refundable.
8.9. Rescheduling
Rescheduling a Booking
A Filmmaker may reschedule a Booking only once for the same or longer duration. If the rescheduled Shoot is longer, the additional charges will be applied. Rescheduling must be requested at least forty-eight (48) hours before the original Shoot start time by contacting FLG. Rescheduled Bookings are non-refundable.
Rescheduling a Location Scout or Technical Recce
Rescheduling must be requested no later than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled time. If no notice is received or the Filmmaker fails to attend, the Location Scout Fee is non-refundable.
8.10. Non-Appearance
If a Filmmaker or Host fails to appear at the Location without prior notice, the Booking will be treated as a cancellation under the “Less than twenty-four (24) hours policy”, and no refund will be issued.
8.11. Refund Method and Timeline
All eligible refunds will be processed within seven (7) Working Days from the date of FLG’s approval of the cancellation and will be returned to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed in writing. FLG Service Fees and Payment Processing Fees are non-refundable.
8.12. Force Majeure
Force majeure events include, without limitation, acts of God, natural disasters, government orders, epidemics, pandemics, royal demise, civil disturbance, or breakdowns in telecommunication services. In such cases, cancellations will be handled in accordance with Section 8.5 (Justified and Accepted Cancellations).
8.13. Host-Specific Cancellation Policies
Some Hosts may include additional or modified cancellation terms within their individual Property Rules or Listing Descriptions.
Where a Host’s own cancellation policy is expressly stated in the Listing and accepted by the Filmmaker at the time of Booking, that Host-specific policy shall prevail over the general FLG Cancellation & Refund Policy, but only to the extent of such difference.
In all other respects, this FLG Policy shall continue to apply in full. FLG reserves the right to review and remove any Host-specific cancellation policy that is misleading, unreasonable, or inconsistent with local consumer protection laws or Platform standards.
9. DAMAGES, DISPUTES, & SECURITY DEPOSIT
FLG may facilitate communication between the Host and the Filmmaker regarding any damage claims or the return of the Security Deposit as needed. Such facilitation is offered solely to assist the parties and shall not be construed as FLG assuming any financial or legal responsibility for resolving damage disputes or handling the Security Deposit.
It is strongly advised that the Filmmaker document the condition of the Location upon arrival with timestamped photos or video recordings to serve as proof in case of disagreement about damages or cleanliness. In the absence of such documentation from the Filmmaker, FLG will assess any dispute based on the available evidence, which may include material provided by the Host. The Filmmaker is responsible for any damage to the Location or personal property caused by the Filmmaker or the Film Crew.
The Host must report any damage claims to FLG or directly to the Filmmaker within forty-eight (48) hours after the Shoot, providing reasonable documentation. The Filmmaker agrees to repair or cover the cost of damages using the Security Deposit, where applicable.
The Host may deduct from the Security Deposit only if the Filmmaker, within fifteen (15) Working Days after the Shoot, fails to repair or compensate for documented damages. Any deduction must be supported by reasonable evidence of the damage and its cost (e.g., timestamped photos, receipts, repair estimates, or online product links). The Host shall not withhold any portion of the Security Deposit without justified cause. Minor rule violations that do not result in significant damage (for example, vaping indoors, or wearing shoes indoors against Property Rules) must be addressed with the Filmmaker or FLG during the Shoot and cannot later justify deposit deductions.
If no damages or unresolved charges exist, the Host shall return the Security Deposit in full to the Filmmaker within forty-eight (48) hours after the Shoot, once the Location has been inspected and confirmed in satisfactory condition.
Platform Administrative Review For any damage claim or dispute, FLG may, at its discretion, review submitted evidence (photos, receipts) and issue a binding determination regarding Platform usage. While FLG does not hold the Security Deposit, parties agree that FLG’s decision on the validity of damages is final for account standing. Failure to comply with FLG’s decision (e.g., a Host refusing to refund an invalid deduction or a Filmmaker refusing to pay valid damages) constitutes a material breach resulting in immediate Account suspension or permanent removal.
Dispute Resolution
The Host and Filmmaker shall first make reasonable efforts to resolve any disagreement or damage claim directly and in good faith. FLG is not responsible for mediating or deciding disputes but may assist with clarification if both parties request it.
If the parties cannot reach a resolution within fifteen (15) Working Days after written notice by either party, the matter shall be referred to mediation under the rules of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), unless both parties agree in writing to another mediator. The mediation shall take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and the language of mediation shall be English.
If mediation fails to resolve the dispute within thirty (30) Working Days from its commencement, either party may proceed to file a claim before the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates, in accordance with Section 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction).
10. DISCLAIMERS, WARRANTIES & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
10.1 Disclaimers.
The Platform, Services, and Platform Content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind unless required by law.
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, FLG disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, uninterrupted operation, or the accuracy of Listings or Content.
FLG does not make any guarantees regarding the condition, legality, safety, suitability, or performance of any Location, nor does it warrant the conduct, representations, or actions of any User. Hosts are solely responsible for the truthfulness and legality of their Listings, and Filmmakers are responsible for assessing the suitability of a Location before Booking.
Nothing in this Agreement shall limit or exclude FLG’s liability for its own fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct, or for any liability that may not be lawfully excluded under UAE law.
10.2 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FLG’s total liability for any claim, dispute, or legal action arising out of or related to the use of the Platform, Services, Listings, or any Booking shall be limited to the total amount of fees actually retained by FLG for the specific Booking and any related Additional Services (such as Location Scout, Technical Recce, Permit Assistance, or On-Set Manager), excluding any portion of the Booking Price payable to the Host.
FLG shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages of any kind — including, without limitation, lost profits, lost business opportunities, data loss, reputational harm, or production delays — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
This limitation applies regardless of the nature of the claim — whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise — and remains in effect even if any remedy provided in this Agreement is deemed to have failed its essential purpose.
Nothing in this Agreement limits or excludes FLG’s liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that may not lawfully be excluded under the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
10.3 Indemnification.
Users shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FLG and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against all third‑party claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) provision or use of a Location; (b) Content provided; (c) failure to obtain Permits; (d) breach of this Agreement or Policies; or (e) bodily injury, death, or property damage to the extent caused by the indemnifying party or its invitees.
10.4 Intellectual Property, Content License, and Use of Platform Content
All FLG trademarks, logos, and Platform intellectual property are owned exclusively by FLG.
Users grant FLG a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, display, distribute, and publicly perform any Content—including listings, reviews, testimonials, or comments—submitted to the Platform, for purposes of operating, improving, and marketing the Platform, including across social media, digital advertising, and promotional materials.
FLG may also photograph or film listed Locations, with the Host’s consent, for inclusion in Listings or FLG promotional use. Users represent and warrant that they own or otherwise have sufficient rights to the Content they provide and that such Content does not infringe or violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
Users may access and use the Platform and its Content solely for their intended purpose of listing, browsing, or booking Locations through FLG. Except as expressly permitted by FLG in writing, Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, display, sell, or otherwise exploit any part of the Platform or its Content for commercial or competitive purposes. Any unauthorized use of FLG’s Content, trademarks, listings, photographs, or proprietary materials is strictly prohibited.
10.5 Prohibited Uses.
Users shall not, in violation of Section 6 (Code of Conduct), engage in any unlawful activity or use the Platform in a way that disrupts, damages, or interferes with its operation or any other User’s experience. Users may not upload malicious code, spam, impersonate others, scrape, reverse-engineer, probe, or test the Platform, or launch denial-of-service attacks. Use of any automated system, bot, artificial-intelligence tool, crawler, or similar technology to access, copy, or collect Listings, images, or data from the Platform without FLG’s written consent is strictly prohibited. Users shall not reproduce, distribute, or otherwise exploit any portion of the Platform, Services, or Content except as expressly permitted under this Agreement, nor attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its systems.
Users shall not conduct or facilitate any transaction that violates applicable sanctions, export-control, or other regulatory laws.
10.6 Modifications; Force Majeure; Notices.
FLG may modify this Agreement or Policies at any time by posting updates; continued use constitutes acceptance. FLG is not liable for nonperformance caused by events beyond its reasonable control (including acts of God, epidemics, government action, or telecommunications failures). Notices may be sent by email or via the Platform and are deemed received upon sending.
11. GOVERNING LAW, JURISDICTION & MISCELLANEOUS
11.1 Governing Law; Jurisdiction.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. The parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai Courts.
11.2 Interpretation; Order of Precedence.
Headings are for convenience only. Monetary amounts refer to UAE Dirhams (AED). As between this Agreement and a Booking confirmation, this Agreement controls except where FLG expressly agrees otherwise in writing. The Arabic or English version may be provided; in case of conflict, the English version prevails unless expressly stated otherwise.
11.3 Severability; Waiver; Assignment; Survival.
If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force to the maximum extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce is not a waiver. Users may not assign this Agreement without FLG’s prior written consent; FLG may assign to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale. Sections intended to survive termination shall do so.
11.4 Entire Agreement; Electronic Signatures
This FLGSA, together with the Privacy Policy, Prices, Fees & Payments Policy, and Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and FLG regarding the Platform and Services, and supersedes any prior agreements, understandings, or representations.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the terms of this FLGSA prevail over any conflicting terms between you and FLG, including in communications outside this Agreement.
FLG may update this Agreement to reflect changes in applicable law or Platform operations, and such updates shall apply to future Bookings.
By checking the box during the booking process, you acknowledge and agree to be legally bound by this Agreement. Such electronic acceptance shall have the same legal force and effect as a handwritten signature.
